Luv 2 Stamp Blog Hop Christmas Wise Men Shaker Card

d

Welcome to the Luv 2 Stamp Group’s 2021 Blog Hop! We are excited to share projects with you this year. We hope to inspire you to create beautiful new projects. Each month we will have a different theme based on the next month’s celebrations using Stampin’ Up! products.

When you have completed each post, be sure to scroll down to the bottom and you will see the list of Blog Hop Participants. You may either click on their name to go to their post or click the NEXT button.  Happy Crafting, and I hope you enjoy this month’s theme:Christmas.

My favorite stamp set in all of the July-December  Mini Catalog is the Wise Men Bundle, so I knew I wanted to try this for my creation this month. I am pairing this with my other top choices, Peaceful Place, Silver Foil Specialty Paper, the Merry Melody 3-D Embossing Folder, and Subtle Shimmer Sequins to make this a shaker card.

Since the intricate die for the Wise Men is very detailed and more square than rectangular in shape. I changed the size from an A-2 card to 5-1/2" x 5-1/2". It should fit in a 6" x 6" envelope. Here are the measurements for this card if you would like to try!

Basic Gray  Card Base                 5-1/2" x 5-1/2"

Silver Foil Specialty Pack            5-1/4" x 5-1/4" (Emboss with Merry Melody Embossing Folder)

Peaceful Place DSP                       4-1/4" x 4-1/2" (Cut out with the Moroccan influenced die)

Basic White                                   (Die cut the 3 wise men.  Color with Stampin' Blends of your choice.)

Basic Gray                                     5-1/4" x 5-1/4" (Inside piece)

In order to make the shaker card, I used 2 plastic sheets cut smaller than the Peaceful Place DSP. Attach one and use the adhesive foam to create your well. Add the Subtle Shimmer Sequins to the "well." Adhere the second plastic sheet. Add this piece to the layered base, as shown. Place the die cut wise men and position with Dimensionals. Create  a sentiment tag and heat emboss the star and the Wise men still seek Him. Adhere flat on top of the wise men. Glue Smoke Grey piece on the inside to allow for stamping and writing a message .

Are you ready to start making Christmas cards yet?

Thank you for joining us for our Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator Monthly Team Blog Hop!

We are a group of Stampin' Up!® Demonstrators from around the world that are taking part in training that is helping us to build a successful Stampin' Up!® business and reach some goals we have set. We really appreciate your support.

You may be starting here or have come from another blog - either way you can find the link list at the bottom of this post so that you can see every blog post and idea today.

This thank you card uses the new Harvest Meadow Suite from the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog. I brought my pre-order materials to see my upline, Cindee Wilkinson. We just started stamping and die cutting the stamped pieces. My favorite piece is  cut from the new Cork DSP. This textured paper is perfect for the tan wheat branches. The other sheaf is cut from Soft Succulent. The Bumbee-colored flowers are cut from the Harvest Meadow DSP. There is just the right amount of print!

The Base is Moonlight Madness matted with the Harvest DSP. Colors and Contours is used for the Basic White layer. Thank you is stamped in Moonlight Madness. I embellished with the new 2020-2022 In Color Square Gems from the Annual Catalog. I created matching ribbon by coloring the Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon with the Dark Moonlight Madness Stampin' Blend Pen. Be sure to use the brush tip turned on the side to color the ribbon. Don;t forget to decorate the inside of the card!

This thank you card will be given to  anyone ordering $50 or more from my online store. I can't help but want to show off these beautiful crafting materials!

Luv 2 Stamp Blog Hop Red, White, and Blue Challenge with Create with Friends

Welcome to the Luv 2 Stamp Group’s 2021 Blog Hop! We are excited to share projects with you this year, we hope to inspire you to create beautiful new projects. Each month we will have a different theme based on the next month’s celebrations using Stampin’ Up! products.

When you have completed each post, be sure to scroll down to the bottom and you will see the list of Blog Hop Participants. You may either click on their name to go to their post or click the NEXT button.  Happy Crafting and I hope you enjoy this month’s theme: Red, White and Blue!

Here is my sample for the Red, White, and Blue challenge. I wondered how I could make a patriotic card with no patriotic paper. The challenge was on. Beginning with a larger base than typical, I layered Night of Navy, Basic White, and Poppy Pararde. In order to offset the dark colors, I used the light blue striped piece from the You're a Peach DSP. With this canvas I needed a focal point.  Daisies are the ticket. I used the Daisy Punch. But what could I use that is red, white, and blue? I remembered the Neutral  6"x 6" DSP (Night of Navy) and the Brights DSP(Poppy Parade). The rounded squares will give added texture and interest for the flowers, as well as preparing the flower to look more dimensional with my fingers or stylus. Don't forget a daisy from Basic White, too. I embellished the flowers with matching Rhinestone Jewels.

Next, I went looking for the perfect sentiment and label. The Stitched So Sweetly Dies  are  perfect for a tag featuring the bold "Celebrate" from the new Create with Friends stamp set. Of course, "Celebrate" was stamped with Poppy Parade!

So with a little imagination  I think I succeeded in this challenge. What do you think?

Cutting and Scoring Dimensions

Night of Navy         6"x12", scored at 6"

Basic White             5-3/4" x 5-3/4"

Poppy Parade           5-1/2" x 5-1/2"

Night of Navy          5-1/4" x 5-1/4"

Peach DSP               5-1/8" x 5-1/8"

Basic White              5-3/4"x 5-3/4" (Inside)

Celebrate                  Poppy Parade

Label                        Stitched So Sweetly

Night of Navy and Poppy Parade 6"x6" DSP

Happy crafting! The theme this month is "What's New!"
This card uses  In the Wild Collection Suite. I started with a Bay Window and modified it. I scored the base, allowing me to know where to adhere the DSP. I CASED Mary Knabe, but used my own suite. Here are the cutting directions.

Cutting & Scoring Dimensions for Bay Window Card:

  • Card base = 4 1/4" x 11". Score on LONG side at 3/8", 1 7/8", 3 5/8", 5 1/8", 5 1/2".
  • 1st DSP = 4 1/8" x 6". Cut at 1 3/8", 1 5/8", 1 3/8", 1 5/8".
  • 2nd DSP = 4 1/8" x 1 1/4". You will need 2 of this size.
  • Soft Succulent = 4 1/8" x 3 1/4"
  • 3rd DSP = 4-1/8" x 1/4" (Cut 2); 4-1/4" x 1/2"
  •  Basic White Scrap for Sentiment
1. Score as listed above. Do not fold. Just adhere the DSP as shown on the front base.
2. Die cut the tiger from the DSP. Stamp sentiment on the Basic White scrap. Use Dimensionals to pop up the sentiment and tiger.
3.On the inside adhere the Soft Succulent piece on the left hand side and the last DSP piece on the right hand side of the base. Add strip of DSP Die cut the tiger from the DSP and adhere as shown.

This is a fun card for anyone!

Collor Fold Meet Hand-Penned DSP

These cards  feature the Collar Fold with the upcoming Hand-Penned DSP, available on May 4th. These just represent  one color of cardstock. I created 13 others with the same style but different cardstock and ink. Each of the cards show off the new Soft Succulent Ribbon and the new In Color Jewels. The small scalloped base shows off the Color and Contour Bundle and Stampin' Blends, too.

Measurements:

·      Highland Heather           4-1/2 ” x 11”

·       Basic White             5 1/4” x 4”

·      Hand-Penned  DSP                       5 1/4” x 4”

G Gorgeous Grape, Basic White, or Highland Heather scraps to cut out the scalloped tag with Color and Contour Dies.

Instructions:

1.     Determine the center of the DSP on the right side. Cut a slit from right-to-left for 1-1/2” to 1-3/4”.

2.     Score diagonally from the middle of the slit to each corner.

3.     Fold back on the score line and adhere the flaps done with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

4.     Layer each sheet of paper using Tombow. Stamp sentiment with coordinating ink on the DSP.

5.     Stamp the flower from Color and Contour with Memento Black Ink. Color with Highland Heather and Just Jade Stampin' Blends. Cut out with matching die. Adhere with liquid adhesive.

6.     Adhere the Basic White base on the inside with Tombow. Add a 1" x 4" DSP to the inside.

Enjoy this fun fold card!

Luv 2 Stamp Blog Hop April Teacher Appreciation School Bus

Welcome to the Luv 2 Stamp Group’s 2021 Blog Hop! We are excited to share projects with you this year; we hope to inspire you to create beautiful new projects. Each month we will have a different theme based on the next month’s celebrations using Stampin’ Up! products.

Once you are done with each post, scroll down to the bottom and you will see a list of Blog Hop participants; you can click on their name to go to their post, or you can click the next button to go to the next post in line. Happy crafting! This month’s theme is Teacher Appreciation. My project is a school bus that holds treats or a gift card.

This cute little bus is transformed from an ice cream truck that I made for a class. Here it is.
I just used different paper to create the bus, but I did use the same directions, inspired by Mary Eastridge at Mary's House of Cards.

Here are the directions using Bumblebee cardstock:

  • You need 3 pieces of card stock – 2 @ 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 and one at 2 1/2 X 3 1/2
  • 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 – On the long side score at 3 and 5 1/2 turn and on the short side score at 3
  • 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 – On the long side score at 1 1/2, 3, 7 turn and on the short side score 1 1/2 and 4
  • 2 1/2 X 3 1/2 – score 1/2 all the way around.
  • 2 1/2 X 3 1/2 – cut out the corners, angle the ends of the tabs, burnish score lines
  • The 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 piece that is scored a little off centered, with the 2 1/2 section facing you, cut on the score lines on the short end just to the first intersecting line. Do both ends. Then with the 2 1/2 section still facing you, cut from the bottom left corner of the middle block on score line up at an angle. I usually measure to get a more even cut. See tutorial for clarification. Burnish all score lines
  • The remaining piece, on the long sides, cut on each score mark to the first intersection. Please watch the video for step-by-step directions.
  • Video for Ice Cream Truck
  • You can decorate the truck as you desire. I used the  retiring Apple Building Punch and the Harvest Hellos Cling Stamps. The light paper is from the Hydrangea Hill DSP. The sentiment was cut using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.

In the picture, the back flap is just pushed in. The back of the bus will  open to fill with treats or gift card for that special teacher.
