Welcome to the Luv 2 Stamp Group’s 2022 Blog Hop! We are excited to share projects with you this year and hope to inspire you to create beautiful new projects. Each month we will have a different theme based on the next month’s celebrations using Stampin’ Up! products.

This month's 3-D project is a calendar. The mini calendars were purchased at Taylored Expressions. This is a sample of the 40 calendars that I made this week. Using the Dainty Flowers DSP from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog, I paired it with the Dainty Delight Bundle from the new January to April catalog. I used several of the sheets of DSP and backed with either Old Olive or Rich Razzleberry cardstock. The sentiment is from SAB Beautifully Happy stamp set. The sentiment labels are cut from the Something Fancy Dies or a retired circle punch.  If one looks closely, you will see that I used the DSP for the  labels. Some are floral, others are from the "B" side of this beautiful paper.

 Measurements:

Old Olive or Rich Razzleberry  cut 4-1/4" x 11," scored at 5-1/2"

4" x 4" scored at 1/2", 2" and 3-1/2" (To give support for the calendar to stand up. LeeAnn Greff for a video. The 1/2" is a valley fold, 2" a mountain fold, and the 3-1/2" is a valley fold. Attach to the inside with the fold edges at the bottom.

Scraps for the 1/2"  matching strip of cardstock

If you want to take it up a notch, emboss a layer of cardstock 4" x 5-1/4" and trim down the DSP to 3-3/4" x 5".  I die cut the cute flowers from the scraps of DSP left over. I even decorated the flowers with the new Iridescent Pastel Gems and "Winked" them with Wink of Stella for a shimmery shine.

This is a simple project that is made beautiful with gorgeous DSP and new dies. Just this week I gifted several of these to friends. They got excited when they saw the puffy envelope with something more that just a Christmas picture. One friend said that her calendar from last year was just hanging by a thread, just hoping for a replacement. I guess I know what I will be doing every year. It is now a tradition!

Luv 2 Stamp Blog Hop November Theme Christmas Fitting Florets Mug Gift Box mug bo

Welcome to the Luv 2 Stamp Group’s 2022 Blog Hop! We are excited to share projects with you this year and hope to inspire you to create beautiful new projects. Each month we will have a different theme based on the next month’s celebrations using Stampin’ Up! products.

Once you are done with each post, scroll down to the bottom and you will see a list of Blog Hop participants. You can click on their name to go to their post, or you can click the next button to go to the next post in line. Happy crafting! This month’s theme is Christmas.

Since this month's theme is Christmas, I decided to use my favorite paper, Fitting Florets DSP.  I needed a box for a mug that I purchased for a gift. I used Soft Succulent cardstock and the mistle toe sheet from Fitting Florets DSP. I did take inspiration from Ann Melvin Ann Melvin. Her video shows how to make it.

 Cut List:

Soft Succulent: 11"x12" (2)

Score on the short side at 6" and 10-1/2"

On the long side score at 1/2", 5", and 9-1/2"

Soft Succulent Inside: 7"x 5-1/2"

Score 1/2" on all sides.

DSP:  5 7/8" X 4 3/8"  (Cut 4)

         4 3/8" X 4 3/8"  (Cut 2)

I used my Dark Real Red Stampin' Blends to color the berries, making this look even more like Christmas. In addition, the directions calls for 3 pieces, but I cut one more for the bottom of the box, after it was folded. It provides a clean look for the gift box.

Here is the inside of the box. At the bottom, the cup sits on piece with a whole cut in the cardstock.

After the box is finished, wrap the box with Real Red Ribbon and Evening Evergreen Open Weave Ribbons and make someone's day with such a lovely gift.

Luv 2 Stamp Blog Hop October Theme Thanksgiving Meets Framed Florets Dies

Welcome to the Luv 2 Stamp Group’s 2022 Blog Hop! We are excited to share projects with you this year and hope to inspire you to create beautiful new projects. Each month we will have a different theme based on the next month’s celebrations using Stampin’ Up! products.

Once you are done with each post, scroll down to the bottom and you will see a list of Blog Hop participants. You can click on their name to go to their post, or you can click the next button to go to the next post in line. Happy crafting! This month’s theme is Thanksgiving.

I did take inspiration from Frenchie Stamps. I had never seen this card fold, so I thought I would create it! When I think of fall and Thanksgiving, I think of all those fall harvest colors. There are plenty of these colors here.

Measurements:

  • Cajun Craze
    Card Base, 4 ¼ x 8, scored at 1 ¼ and 2 ½
    Pop-Up 3 ¾ x 3 ¾ scored at 1, 2 ¼, 3 ¼
    3 ¼ x 3 ¼, scored at ¾, 2, 2 ¾
    2 ¾ x 2 ¾, scored at ½, 1 ¾, 2 ¼
    2 ¼ x 2 ¼, scored at ¼, 1 ½, 1 ¾
  •  4 ⅛ x 5 ⅝ Rustic Harvest 12"x12" DSP
Cut into five 1 ⅛ x 4 1/8 strips; keep them in order as you cut!
    Panel 1: keep full length (1 ⅛ x 4 ⅛)
    Panel 2: cut ¼  from each end of the strip (1 ⅛ x 3 ⅝)
    Panel 3: cut ½  from each end of the strip (1 ⅛ x 3 ⅛)
    Panel 4: cut ¾  from each end of the strip (1 ⅛ x 2 ⅝)
    Panel 5: cut 1″ from each end of the strip (1 ⅛ x 2 ⅛)

I decorated the front with a gorgeous oval frame from the soon to be released Fitting Florets. I cut out two of the frames to get the Very Vanilla sentiment tag and the Rustic Harvest DSP frame. I fussy cut vegetables from one of the colorful sheets of Rustic Harvest DSP and adhered just the left side of the frame. I did pop up the sentiment label with Dimensionals, but only on the left side of the tag. The sentiment is from Fitting Florets and is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink.  Isn't this a fun card? This fall card will even fit into an A2! envelope!

Luv 2 Stamp Blog August Theme: Birthday Celebrate with Tags and This Birthday Piggy Pop-Up Card

This month’s theme is Birthdays.

I did take inspiration from a sample of Pinterest, and I thought I would create it. (Crafting with Joanie)  For the theme I combined Celebrate with Tags and the super cute stamp set This Birthday Piggy. On September 1, 2022, the coordinating dies for This Birthday Piggy will be available for purchase.

Cut List

10 1/4" x 5 1/4" piece of cardstock.
-Score at 4-14", 4-3/4", 5-1/4", 5-3/4", 6-1/4"

Fold the 5 score lines with Valley, Mountain, Valley, Mountain, and Valley folds.  Done correctly, your card now closes into a 4 "x 5 1/4" card inside.

Turn this card over. If you've done this correctly, your scored lines look like a letter "W" from the side.  Run tacky tape to stick the folds together so that the folds disappear and make it look like a normal card.  Flip it back over.  The inside of the card should now have folds sticking up in the shape of a letter "V."

Stamp the balloon from Celebrate with Tags Stamp  in various colors. I used Shaded Spruce, Real Red, Crushed Curry, Highland Heather, and Polished Pink. Fussy cut the balloons. Cut thin 1/8" strips of acetate to attach your balloons to.  Attach them to balloons with liquid adhesive. Make sure to back the balloons with another balloon so you will not see the backside.

Sandwich your acetate strips (with balloons) in the "V" with Tear and Tape.  To do this, lay one strip of Tear and Tape on one inside "side" of the "V."  Lay your clear plastic acetate strips in the tape so the balloons are farthest away from the tape.  Add a second length of tacky tape--this time to the other inside "side" of the "V."  Close the "V" to sandwich the acetate and create the "stand" for your balloons. You may need to use liquid glue. If so, apply small clips. Attach to a card base when dry.
Decorate the inside of the card. I used a piece of Celebrate Everything DSP, Designer Tag Dies with the Happy Birthday from Celebrate with Tags set. Embellish with a balloon, 1/2" strip of Real Red cardstock, and Red Rhinestones.

On the outside, the cute piggy was stamped with Smokey Slate and colored with Stampin' Blends and cut out with the new dies. Demonstrators got to order these dies before the release date.

Here is the video of the finished card. Make someone's day by giving this fun birthday card!

Luv 2 Stamp Blog Hop July Nature Sun Prints Suite

Welcome to the Luv 2 Stamp Group’s 2022 Blog Hop! We are excited to share projects with you this year and hope to inspire you to create beautiful new projects. Each month we will have a different theme based on the next month’s celebrations using Stampin’ Up! products.

Once you are done with each post, scroll down to the bottom and you will see a list of Blog Hop participants. You can click on their name to go to their post, or you can click the next button to go to the next post in line. Happy crafting! This month’s theme is Nature.

My project uses the Sun Print's Suite. It was my favorite collection in the new Annual Catalog. It reminded me of doing sunprints  as a kid. One would get special paper, layout your items on the paper and put out in the sun. The direct light will expose the chemicals on the paper, causing the items to turn white.
I did take inspiration from Chic n Scratch but used different paper.  In addition to the box, I created 8 cards that used materials from the Sun Print Suite. I used various sentiments to give a collection of cards to gift.
Here are the pictures to the above directions:

Cut on the 2 middle score lines on each side.

Put liquid adhesive or Tear' n Tape on center flaps.

Connect box as shown.
Repeat on the other flaps.

Box is built.
Decorate the main box.
Fold and cut on score lines as shown.
Put liquid adhesive on tabs and fold.

Decorate the lid as shown on video.

                                     Decorate the box as desired.

Decorate cards and envelopes as desired.

I hope you like this A-2 card box decorated with products from the Sun Print's Suite.
